The Minifigures: 3

An action-packed LEGO® set would only be complete with its cast of characters, and the LEGO® CITY Tow Truck Trouble set delivers. The minifigures aren't unique by any means, but they are a must-have for the storytelling in this set.

Meet the intrepid law enforcement team, made up of two minifigures, not in any particular order. One police minifigure sporting a light blue uniform and a distinguished mustache accompanied by the second, a no-nonsense female officer in dark blue attire, complete with a sly smirk.

Rounding out the trio is the rugged Tow Truck driver, clad in an orange and white uniform, his black hat adding a touch of old-school charm and don't forget the blow torch and dynamite! There is no building or safe this criminal can't get into.

Other Minifigures, What Do You Get?

At the heart of this set is the iconic red Tow Truck, ready to spring into action at a moment's notice. With a functioning tow and LEGO® City scale for other cars, you can tow almost any vehicle. However, its really used to drag a safe around to his secret hideout and bust it wide open and see what is inside to make him rich! Do you think he makes it or gets caught?!

Alongside the tow truck, you'll find not one but two different Police Motorcycles—one for tearing through city streets and another for navigating rough off-road terrain. This dynamic duo ensures that no criminal can escape the long arm of the law—or can they? But what's a thrilling chase without some valuable loot up for grabs? This set features a safe packed with treasures, including money and a diamond. Of course, the police even have handcuffs to keep this criminal in check. Accessories like a police radio, police light, and a criminal crowbar add realism and excitement to the scene. You can also just have extras in your LEGO® bin—either way, they are yours! Now lets talk about Pros and Cons of this set.

LEGO CITY Set# 60137 Review Tow Truck Trouble Safe

Pros:

I enjoy the variety of vehicles in this set that you can mix and match or use for other sets or displays you have. With two police motorcycles and various accessories, you can craft endless scenarios of pursuit and capture. Plus, with its Fast and Furious vibes, for those of you who know, it also seamlessly integrates with other Speed Champion Car Sets ( 6 wide ), allowing for even grander adventures, or what I like to do in display scenes. For fans who like vehicles on a CITY scale or just like police-themed sets, this one is a must-have for your city as it was in mine.

Cons:

While the Tow Truck Trouble excels in many areas, it has minor flaws. Stickers (8) are still present on various items within the set; I understand why, but I hate putting them on. That comes out to about every 18 pieces you build, there is a sticker ( 8 for 144 pieces). Additionally, while clever, the design of the safe can sometimes result in the money falling out unintentionally, especially when recreating a Fast and Furious safe-pulling scene. I might have done it a few times... While functional, the tow truck features a relatively simple design that may leave more experienced builders craving more complexity. However, its straightforward construction ensures that even younger LEGO® enthusiasts can dive right into the action without feeling overwhelmed and get used to CITY vehicle style builds.

Final Thoughts: It is a BUY for me

LEGO® City Set # 60137 Tow Truck Trouble was a must-buy for me as it helped with displays and playtime with my kids, and overall, I love LEGO® vehicles. The safe is a great added touch, especially if you have a LEGO® Bank in your city or for some added criminal fun. There are just so many little details packed into this 144-piece set, broad color-themed pieces you can use for any MOC, and 3 minifigures it was hard to pass up.
