LEGO® MOC Apartment Complex 1,700 Pieces / 9 Floors / ~3ft Tall
Intro:
Have you ever wanted to build something 3 feet tall, in a minifigure scale, that stands out at any LEGO show or in your collection? Pictures don’t do the height of this full justice; you really needed to see it in person! So, take a minutes to hopefully get inspired and come enjoy the quick view and my stop motion build of this MOC linked below and let me know what your building next!

My Own Creation:
This LEGO Apartment MOC is crafted from a whopping 1,700 pieces. I have used a unique palette of olive green, reddish brown, dark orange, and gold pieces to bring this creation to life. This stemmed from my love of the LEGO Icons Haunted House, the olive green and brown combo, then I add in my favorite color Orange, then top it with gold to make it look fancy, I hope… I originally was going to make it an abandoned/haunted apartment complex, but I went in a different direction as you can tell. This LEGO Apartment MOC stands about 3 feet tall, has 9 floors, and topped off by a luxurious penthouse. And the best part? It's all built to minifigure scale! I wanted to do this to be able to eventually build out the interior details but kept it exterior only for the initial build to understand the stability better and had a vision of what it would look like as a display for a couple of shows I am in later this year rather than playability. I only stopped at 9 floors because like most LEGO builders problems, I ran out of pieces I owned….womp womp.
With that being said, this is towering at about 3 feet high, and I believe this LEGO creation is sure to make a statement in any display or scene you create. While not entirely a LEGO Modular design, I honestly wasn't thinking about that when building it, once all the pieces are connected floor by floor it's built strong enough to transport as one big building if needed, but is a pain to separate without fully breaking. I suggest building it modular and will use this technique in future builds for sure.
While I love how this came out, I am open to adding even more detailing on the exterior to make it truly stand out and not look so flat in some places. This is a relatively square design and I want to add more round shapes with a V2, but this is what I got today to see what i could build virtually then in reality. What would you add to the exterior of this Apartment Complex to make it pop more or do you have any ideas about the interior? 9 floors is a lot of interior ideas to come up with. Do I do 9 different families, 3 families with 3 floors to add in dinning rooms, bathrooms, master bedrooms. Would love to hear from you, what would you do.
Penthouse
I figured every expensive Apartment complex or fancy home has some sort of penthouse on top. This is what I came up! One I had to make it stand out further by extending the width larger then the other floors. Then I wanted the window shapes to be unique then all the other 8 floors and made a larger more exciting designed windows in the middle. Then I topped it off with some crowns to make it pop even further, or at least in my opinion. Take a look below!
Final Thoughts: I would build again, but more detailed design on the outside!
And there you have it, LEGO Builders, I am your host RVB and this was my LEGO Apartment MOC with about 1,700 pieces and standing about 3ft tool, this thing was a beast to build. Luckily it was stable enough to move around when I needed it. Hope you enjoyed taking a peak at this as much as I loved building this in real life. This has now been deconstructed and turned into part of my 7k Piece resort that I will be posting later on, you don't want to miss out.
